Rocare was appointed to deliver a comprehensive internal and external refit for a Nationwide Building Society branch. The brief was to modernise the building, improve accessibility, and create a professional, customer friendly environment that supports smooth daily operation for both clients and staff.
Externally, we upgraded the approach and frontage with a new DDA compliant access ramp, an electro mechanical entrance door, and a refreshed shopfront. We also installed fascia signage and a brick plinth to the front and side elevations to strengthen durability and improve overall presentation.
Internally, we delivered new finishes and fitments to create a modern Banking Hall layout. This included a counter and till area, a private office, a mix of open plan and cellular meeting and interview rooms, and public seating areas to improve comfort and customer flow.
On the first floor, we created improved staff facilities including a kitchen and canteen, a store, toilets, and a cleaner’s cupboard. To support accessibility and circulation throughout the building, we also installed a new passenger lift.
The completed refit delivered a more accessible, modern branch with improved customer circulation, upgraded staff amenities, and a higher standard of presentation consistent with a busy financial services environment. The new layout improves functionality and day to day usability, providing a refreshed space designed for efficient service and a better customer experience.
